SR-71 in their song Politically Correct mentioned that nowadays you couldn't make a Mel Brooks movie. Thanks to socialist ass hats in European Union that might be the least of our concerns.
Since some time people have feared AI. They were afraid that one day it would gain self-consciousness and decided to turn master-slave relationship with humans around. Many movies (most recently Ex machina) painted image of cunning, cold architects of our doom. Even great minds like Stephen Hawking couldn't resist that fear. It's a bullshit.
Every once in a while I get in touch with some product of today's culture. Some are terrific, some are repulsive, some I forget the next day. Sometimes I got back to the pieces which survived in our cultural consciousness long enough to become an integral part of it. Sometimes I wonder which of them are pieces of art and which are just a craft. And always I reach conclusion that defining art is a bottomless pit of shit.
